Black Friday 02:48
The time of year has come to bear the weight of trees And we will walk among the Christmas lights Can you see the people all around the square? Some more as though they walk on air While others live upon the street. Some sleep in beds, some sleep on boxes, some sleep in bunks Some sleep in mansions in cities, then sleep in tepees in fields for fun. I saw in every hand a tiny window screen Where everyone can buy their dream Those electric squares will guide them all the way Todays the day it’s Black Friday. Some sleep in beds, some sleep on boxes, some sleep in bunks Some sleep in mansions in cities then sleep in tepees in fields for fun. Today is Black Friday.

The 3rd of December, the streets shine white, red and green Pennies in your pocket to buy all the things that you see They’re calling all the good people round to the steeples of late While I’m building new churches to hide great injustice in case I do not want to believe that you lied Walking down York Road the man with the monkey is there He’s a believer and he runs a show ‘cause he cares He writes the titles for all of these songs that I sing While the zombie pass by like in paintings of David Wilkins And I see frowns upon their faces. People make the places Councils on our cases and I don’t know Years upon their faces People make the places Councils on our cases and I don’t know Oh, the snow is becoming me. Oh, the snow is becoming me. Oh, the snow is becoming me. Oh Lord, the snow is becoming me. The 3rd of December, the snow falls and I am unseen.

Caught in the middle where I am. From the birth of the garden in The Dawn of The Age of Man, to The Eve of The Swan Song There’s been a devil in the shape of a man. Winter lives through evergreens The blanket snow, the silent show of dreams. Advent opens many doors We’ll take in turns - you steal mine, I’ll steal yours. These are times of the tyrants, they’re nailing shut their own precious doors There was a call for the culling of the weak, the infirm, and the poor Winter lives through evergreens The blanket snow, the silent show of dreams. Advent opens many doors We’ll take in turns - you steal mine, I’ll steal yours. This is not what you were put here for Drink poison and expect your enemies to fall? Let go your pride killing you inside Let go and show your love.

about

"The time of year has come to bear the weight of trees. And we will walk among the Christmas lights.”

‘Tis the season. Here comes the constant onslaught of digital adverts on screens in the street, in our homes, on trains and in our hands. Like Gods they scream "SPEND”, and we bow down and pay. A freezing human on the street begs for change, though there is none. A lone soul walks down a High Street and feels anything but. Fat cats sit in luxurious seats of power, and they warm their hands by slowly burning the disadvantaged.

My new release 'Christingle' looks at the chasm that Christmas creates between those who have and those who do not.

Influenced by Provokiev, Fleet Foxes and Radiohead, its somber, romantic arrangements and jingle bells take you on a journey through the darker side of the Festive Season. Though like most tales, there is a positive ending.
