Dartington College of Arts was an experimental arts school, hidden away on a country estate in Devon, England; a beautiful, isolated, inspiring and haunted place, with its own ancient and modern myths and legends. Ben trained in Theatre there for three years.

The EP tells the stories of lives within the setting of Dartington's sprawling gardens, historic buildings and performance studios, aided by a swirling, psychedelic, phasing version of The Kinks classic song See My Friends.

The digital version has been specifically mastered to optimize the EP for listening on digital devices.

The vinyl has been specially mastered for spinning on your record player.

Meet me 'mongst the leaves When the trees have done their show In the garden's glow At the statue's feet Down we go Here flows the river Dart Past the old stoned crow To the cold town square I hear a voice in the cavalcade But I've come to the wrong parade I am here No where near Holy men are going spare As the birds have flow As the Devil cares Lily White sits and cries at night 'Cause her lover's hanged By a jasmine hoop I hear a voice in the cavalcade But it's come to the wrong parade I am here No where near The churches chime We stand in line St James counts ten Begin again Meet me 'mongst the leaves When the trees have done their show In the garden's glow At the statue's feet

Goodbye to parents they leave me to settle in this green Out to the bar to meet people with names like Matthew & Mary I will get drunk and go wandering in the gardens I'm dressed in white I'm a grass-stained ghost People walk me home Their names are Matthew & Mary Run golden cornfield to Foxhole to shelter in its sanctuary In Yellow House there are pretty girls there from the Home Counties I will fall in love with a flipping gymnast From her bones statues are cast I am with friends Their names are Matthew & Mary We will get drunk and explore the gardens We will get dressed up and we will go dancing I am with friends Check names: Matthew and Mary Sketch all the buildings in sunlight literally Find ways of talking about the arts, set, sex sequences and scenes I am with friends Their names- Matthew & Mary

She goes down in gardens to take in the view Strange cold stone statues they wait for the rain The maid of the mansion is awfully tired A wish for a rainbow It's an overturned smile The apples are bobbing Competitive fruit The sweets of the orchard are dark at the root She goes to the chapel to see what's to do Bread in her heart and fish for a few Swimming in silver their porcelain eyes Cut rays in her heart as she stands in the line The maid of the mansion in awfully tired She stands in the pulpit her arms open wide And a tap on the shoulder tells her it's here The rhythm on the roof that keeps things clear She walks up form gardens all wet from the shower With soil in her soul for the apples and flowers That she'll pick at the end of the day

In the dark of your room I will leave you a bastard Oh the king of your bones he is almost in action In the cold night deliver a soul When he creeps down the halls he'll believe he's an actor Filming breeds tiny lies I can feel him in the rafters In the cold night deliver a soul Oh a cold night is fleeting Oh the winter snow is healing In the cold night deliver a soul Do you dream he'll return by the sea with his father? Water mirrors a ship Ocean stars sink disaster In the cold night deliver a soul

See my friends See my friends Playing 'cross the river See my friends See my friends Playing 'cross the river She is gone She is gone and now there's no one there Except my friends playing 'cross the river She just went She just went Went across the river Now she's gone Now she's gone Wish that I'd gone with her She is gone She is gone and now there's no one there Except my friends playing 'cross the river She is gone and now there's no one there to take her place She is gone and now there's no one else around Except my friends playing 'cross the river See my friends See my friends Playing 'cross the river See my friends See my friends Playing 'cross the river Copyright Kassner Music.

River runs and the river runs deep Will you catch me when night falls and willows weep? Who's been losing sleep while angels swim in gold? I had a sunflower I gave it away You picked the petals as dusk stole the day Who's been laughing as children grow old? It's the way they bring you up It's the wait that brings you up Can you see stars dance in blue over sea? The sand is warm and to be is to be When you're with me the night's never cold When the sun's down, the beauty of it all
